Out of state players and Host families
Out of state player program
Every summer we will be offering a limited amount spots on our roster for out of state players. Out of state players are required to provide their own transportation to and from Orange County, CA. We encourage but do not require out of state players to bring a vehicle for the summer that will allow them the freedom to take advantage all of what Southern California has to offer. If you are interested in a spot on our roster please contact us early as we have limited host families for the summer.
Become a OC Riptide host family
Every summer from late May till early August, top college baseball prospects come to Orange County for the chance to showcase their skills against some of the best competition in the country. Throughout the history of baseball, Host Family Programs have been a vital part of the success of nearly every top team, both on and off the field. The Riptide will carry a limited amount of out of state players each summer. The players come from all over the United States to be part of the Riptide family. Having our players become part of local families helps these young men feel an added sense of belonging in a place far away from home. With college baseball players coming to Orange County from their respective schools across the country chasing their dream of someday being the next big league ball players you and your family have the opportunity to be a host family for one of these fine young men. For many of host families, their players become more then just a guest for the summer – they become part of the family. Experience memories that last a lifetime, become a Riptide host family!
Hosting a Player!
What do our players need for the summer?
*Players will live by the host family’s house rules.
*Families are required to provide a private room with a bed, access to a restroom, laundry facilities and kitchen. Providing food and Internet are not requiring but encouraged.
*Host families are not required to provide transportation. Players are encouraged to bring their own car when coming to Orange County.
*Housing from Last weekend in May to the first week of August.
* Our player’s itinerary for the summer is, that we play 5 out of 7 days during each week. Players will have two free days each week to experience all of what Orange County has to offer.
*Host families are not required to attend host games but encouraged to come out the park to see the Riptide play!
